Bill is a licensed professional guide who has been fishing and hunting the bays out of Rockport for over 30 years. “My grandfather was one of the first charter boat captains in Rockport around 1950 and helped chart the local bay system. He guided until his death in the 1990’s. I learned just about everything I know from him. We spent a lot of time together on the water, he was a great teacher!”

Bill is not your typical guide. His enthusiasm for the outdoors is evident when you meet him. He not only loves to fish and hunt, he is also an avid white water canoeist. He has “paddled” the Pecos and other rivers many times and has competed in and finished the grueling 260-mile Texas Water Safari canoe race. He has traveled the world working in such places as Mexico, Brazil and Bahrain.

He holds a Finance degree from The University of Texas Business School and owned his own company in Austin for ten years prior to becoming a full time fishing and hunting guide. “My dream was always to follow in my grandfathers footsteps and guide. I just never thought I could make that dream happen” In 1997 Bill made that dream become a reality. He sold his business in Austin and he and his family moved to Rockport. “It was definitely the right choice. I haven’t regretted it for one minute. I am doing what I love to do.” All of Bill’s experience pays off. As one of his regular clients says, “He not only knows “fishing” but he is a very interesting guy to spend the day with.”
